WARNING! THIS BLOG POST CONTAINS SOME PICTURES OF THE FIRST MOMENTS OF BIRTH. We welcomed our baby girl into the world today. Her name is Arabella Lizabeth and she weighed in at 9lbs 1oz. She is healthy, happy, and loving life. We are loving her. The following is the images of her first day with us. Enjoy….
Had some fun today. I’ve been trying to find time to have some fun with a couple of strobes I’ve got. So today I setup in the kitchen to attempt a composite shot and have some fun with the boys. I hope to be playing around a bit more with this stuff. The boys love it! So I lit my kitchen up and captured each of them individually and then spent a bunch of time in Photoshop getting them together. Lots of fun. I think it came out okay but I hope to produce some more unique ones soon! Enjoy!
Had an amazing game of road hockey with all the little ones on New Years Day. How fun and some AMAZING Winnipeg January weather to have the kids outside. They had a blast taking on the adults. The kids won 4-1.
Had a great time with this beautiful family of three getting some updated pictures for them. ”S” was quite cooperative and had lots of smiles for us….though we did have to work for them a bit. Enjoyed playing around with the light setup and learning a bit more about how to control 3 strobes for this shoot. Lots of fun!
We ran a production called Word on the Street at Riverwood Church (follow @riverwoodcc) for Christmas eve. What a great modern day telling of the Mary and Joseph’s journey. Great job cast and crew and what a fun day in the Elmwood community at Riverwood!
Had the chance to take advantage of a beautiful day and a brand new snowfall. We headed out on a hike with the boys and their friends today. It was so beautiful seeing every tree lined with snow and having the kids explore on the path….and a bit off the path too (that was my fault). Enjoyed getting the camera outside and taking some photos…I haven’t been clicking as much lately….even if it meant a tree full of snow falling right on my camera….hope its okay. Enjoy.
Had a great time with the Irwins doing a family photoshoot. We were lucky to have a warmish day still in late October to get some updated family shots. This one took quite a bit of animation effort to get the kids smiling (and a few smarties) but we managed to sneak a few happy shots. It was great being outside shooting again and to get another one in before the snow flies. Enjoy.
Had a chance to take the boys to the Fort Whyte centre on our day off. It was a ton of fun and the fall colours we wonderful. I wanted to capture the day for them to be able to remember. Had an amazing time doing a father son camping trip with a friend at Birds Hill. This was Conner’s first time camping ever and he did great. Lots of memories for sure….check it out Had an awesome afternoon chillin at a great cabin on Lake Winnipeg with the best friend and our families. So fun to have all the kids together and just playing. The cabin had some huge wonderful windows to give some great light….didn’t take advantage of it enough but enjoyed it nonetheless….certainly a day where life felt lived!
